Artanoid - Flash arkanoid game

Date: 9th April 2008 at 2:56 pm | Filed under: actionscript, development, flash, gallery | Author: Sam Burdge

I built the game Artanoid for the 76 Creative website. It is a remake of the arcade classic Arkanoid with a 76 creative twist. The game has 5 levels, various 'power-ups' andalso saves and updates a score table using server side php. I recommend turning the music on to get the full effect, with a different soundtrack for each level.

I am interested in having you work on some possible flash games for me. I tried writing you an email but it bounced.

Let me know if you are interested or when you may have time to chat about it.

76 Creative Screenshot

The new 76 Creative website is here! We have updated our portfolio and the design of the site itself. The incredibly popular Sound FX board is still there, and is now joined by the extremely cool (if I do say so myself) Artanoid - 76 Creative's take on the arcade classic Arkanoid. The site is built in PHP with flash elements.

Neil Stewart - HomeNeil Stewart - GalleryNeil Stewart - BiogNeil Stewart - Moving Image

This site, built for photographer Neil Stewart, is the first site 76 Creative have launched this year. Built with PHP, it features categorized thumbnail galleries, the usual biog, links and contact information, and also a moving image section with an embedded Flash Video (flv). All of the navigation for the site is done using images to create the hand written look that we were going for, it uses a javascript to give the mouseover effect for the images. For me, this is one of the best designed sites I have worked on so far, as it has a distinctive style, yet it's simple and functional.

Al Fingers Website

Al Fingers Site 1Al Fingers Site 2

This site, built for DJ / Remix artist Al Fingers, is 100% ninja! It's powered by wordpress, believe it or not, but the theme is like no other wordpress theme I have ever seen. It uses iframes to load all the different categories into seperate lozenges on the home page. It is also backed up by the more conventional wordpress search and display single posts on a page. For this site I also created a unique 'View Tracklist' function for the Mixtapes category, which opens the tracklist for each mixtape in a pop-up window. The site utilises my monthly and reverse nav scripts which can be found here:

This is truly the Millenium Falcon of wordpress themes, and a must for all music lovers.
